The Finance Department is responsible for recording and reporting on the financial activities of the County and verifying that all financial transactions are conducted and recorded in accordance with the budget, applicable laws, guidelines provided by regulatory agencies, generally accepted accounting principles and County policies. The following are some of the duties performed in fulfilling the department's responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable
• Disbursing employee payroll
• Tracking grants
• Coordinating the annual County audit
• Budgeting
• Calculating mill levies for property taxes
• Remittances
• Managing inventory of fixed assets
• Securing insurance coverage for County property
