Williams County Park Board Announces 2024 Online Camping Reservations and the 2024 Blacktail Dam Lottery
Williston, N.D., (February 20, 2024) – Williams County Parks is excited to announce that starting March 1, 2024, campers can secure their spot for the upcoming year through online campsite reservations and enter in the Blacktail Dam Seasonal Campsite Lottery.
Online reservations can be made for Blacktail Dam, Epping/Springbrook Dam, and Little Egypt between March 1 and October 31. Campsites may be reserved for a maximum of 14 days (13 nights) and a maximum of four sites per reservation, per person.
At this time, online reservations will not be available for Kota Ray Dam due to anticipated construction and improvements to be made to the park this summer. Visitors should be aware that Kota Ray Dam may be closed entirely for periods of time depending on the construction schedule.
Camping at McGregor Dam will remain first come, first served, with no overnight camping allowed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Campers interested in entering the 2024 Blacktail Dam Lottery for a chance at one of five seasonal campsites can fill out an online submission form. The season will last from May 1 through October 1 and each site costs $1,750. Entry forms must be mailed or dropped off at the Williams County Parks Department Office by 5 pm on Monday, April 8th. A full payment of $1,750.00 must be received to be successfully entered into the lottery. If you are not selected, your check will be returned. Sites will be drawn during the regular Park Board meeting on April 16, 2024, beginning at 8:30 am.
