Little Egypt is a waterfront park located on Lake Sakakawea about 30 miles east of Williston and 30 miles south of Ray. The park offers picnic areas, camping, and direct access to Lake Sakakawea for swimming and non-motorized watercraft. The park is located on land owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and is managed by Williams County Parks.

Additional Information

 Boating

Non-motorized watercraft such as kayaks and canoes can be launched from the beach. The amount of beach exposed fluctuates throughout the year depending on the water level of Lake Sakakawea. Boat ramps for motorized watercraft can be found at Little Beaver Bay, Lund's Landing or Lewis and Clark State Park.

 Campfires

Campfires may only be built in the provided fire rings, which may not be moved from their current location. All fires must be supervised by a person of at least 18 years of age and must be maintained in a safe manner in accordance of the ND Rangeland Fire Danger Index. Make a Campsite Reservation

Between March 1 and October 31, campsites may be reserved online for same day camping or in advance for a maximum of 14 days (13 nights) and a maximum of four sites per reservation, per person. Year-round, campsites can be reserved onsite/day of by paying at the park with cash or check.

Fees

Credit card (American Express, Visa, Discover, and MasterCard) is accepted online. A service fee of $3 will be applied to each reservation plus a service fee for using a credit/debit card (minimum of $2.50 or 4.5%). Cash or check are accepted onsite at the campground (please visit the pay station).

Primitive Campsites: $10/night
There are four dedicated tent sites in an open grassy area of the park. Primitive camping is allowed anywhere on park land, but campfires are only allowed in fire rings.

Electric Campsites: $15/night
There are 21 campsites with electrical (20/30/50 amp) and water hookups. Water is considered potable, but users are cautioned that it has elevated iron levels.

Check-In/Check-Out

Check-in begins at 3 pm CT and checkout is at 2 pm CT. If you made your reservation online, please check-in using the link provided via email. Check your spam if you did not receive the email!

Modifying or Cancelling Your Reservation

Reservations can be modified online one time. If additional modifications are needed, please call 701-580-1628. Click here to visit the modification page to make changes to your reservation.

Reservations may be cancelled for a full refund up to 48 hours (2 days) prior to your check-in date. For cancellations less than 48 hours in advance, a partial refund may be issued based on length of stay. To request a cancellation, please complete the cancellation request form or call 701-580-1628.
