Certified copies of marriage licenses can be obtained from the Auditor’s Office for $10 per copy. A certified copy of a marriage license is required to complete a legal name change or to prove a marriage occurred. *You must complete both Step 1 and Step 2 below for your request to be successful.* If you have questions, please contact the Auditor’s Office at 701-577-4500.

Payment can be made via check or e-check/credit card. If paying online, please retain the reference number from the bottom of your receipt to include in the request form. Each copy is $10: example – 2 copies = $20
