NOTICE ground mosquito treatment

8/22/2024: Williams County Vector Control District (WCVCD) will be conducting an ground adulticide tonight, August 22, 2024, in City of Williston Spray Blocks 3 and 8. Weather and conditions permitting, the treatment will begin after sunset. Residents are reminded to please stay at least 300 feet away from a Vector Control truck while it is fogging.

Here’s how you can avoid mosquitoes bites at home:

  • Wear long sleeve tight knit shirts and long pants
  • Limit time outdoors between dusk and dawn
  • Use a mosquito repellent such as DEET, Picardin, or oil of lemon eucalyptus
  • Eliminating standing water on your property

The WCVCD uses Zenivex E20 for adult mosquito control treatments (adulticides), which contains the active ingredient Etofenprox. Zenivex E20 is a product approved for use in residential areas by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
