Estimated 2024 Property Tax Statements have been mailed

The Estimated Property Tax Statements for the 2024 Tax Year have been mailed. Required by North Dakota Century Code (NDCC), estimated tax statements provide an approximate look at what property taxes will be for that year. Taxing Districts are still finalizing their budgets and final budgets are used to calculate the annual tax bill, which is mailed out in December of each year. If a property owner applied for, and was approved by the state, the North Dakota Primary Residence Credit of up to $500 is reflected on the 2024 Estimated Tax Statement.

If you did not receive your estimated tax statement, please contact the Treasurer’s Office.

Any taxing district that levies more than $100,000 are required by NDCC to hold a public budget hearing. Citizens are able to provide oral or written comments regarding the district’s budget at or before the hearing. A copy of the district’s budget will be available at the district’s normal place of business at least 7 days prior to the hearing. Hearings only pertain to budgets, not property values.
