Effective immediately – 5/15/23, 6:15am (CST) – Williams County is restricting all county and township gravel and chip seal roads to the 6-ton axle weight limit, total gross weight of 80,000 LBS. due to the moisture received causing roads to be tender.
Frost permits are “NOT” valid at this time.
Roads will continue to be re-evaluated throughout today and tomorrow.

5/12/23 – Effective immediately, 7:20am (CST) Williams County is restricting all county and township gravel and chip seal roads to the 20,000 LBS GVW weight restriction due to the weather conditions.
Any previous approved permits over the 20,000 LBS GVW weight restriction will be considered void. Frost permits are not valid at this time.
Roads will continue to be re-evaluated throughout the weekend.

Effective at 9:00pm (CST) tonight, 5/11/23 – Williams County is restricting all county and township gravel and chip seal roads to a “no overweight limit” due to the rain received. All overweight permits that were issued are now void.
Frost permits are not valid at this time.
Roads will continue to be evaluated throughout the weekend.
