About NDTip
Through a partnership with the North Dakota Sheriff’s and Deputies Association, and funded by the North Dakota Department of Human Services, the Williams County Sheriff’s Office is now participating in NDTip, a service that enables citizens to submit anonymous tips about crimes, suspicious activity, or non-emergency traffic concerns in Williams County.
NDTip removes all identifying information about the sender before the tip reaches the Sheriff's Office. There is no way to identify the sender.
NDTip is not a substitute for calling 911; if this is an emergency, or you are witnessing a crime in progress, please dial 9-1-1 immediately.
Submitting a Tip
Anonymous tips can be submitted three different ways. Tip submissions are not constantly monitored by the Sheriff's Office. It make a few days for the tip to be seen.
Text Message
To submit an anonymous tip via text message, text the keyword NDWILLIAMS and your message/tip to 847411. Please include as much detail as possible. You may also send picture or video attachments. Submitting a tip via text message allows you to anonymously converse with the Sheriff's Office.
App
Download the NDTip App to submit tips anonymously using your mobile device.
Once the app is downloaded, select "Submit a Tip." Choose "Williams Co Sheriff" as the Agency then enter a short description and location for where the incident occurred. You can attach a photo or video to your submission. You can provide additional information about the situation once the tip is submitted.
If a Deputy replies to your tip, the app will send a notification. You will be able to anonymously converse with the Deputy.
Web Form
If you submit via the web form, please be sure to save/record your tip ID. You can use the ID to log into the Tip411 page to view feedback about your tip from the Sheriff's Office as well as submit additional information. Picture or video attachments are permitted via the web form.
