Fire Plan Review
The Fire Inspector is responsible for life safety review of building plans, fire protection system plans, and site plans.
Building plans are reviewed for exits, emergency lighting, occupant load, occupancy classification and other life safety requirements that are necessary to be in compliance with NFPA 1 and NFPA 101.
Fire Protection System plans including fire sprinkler plans, fire alarm plans, hood suppression system plans and other submitted plans are reviewed for compliance with NFPA 13, NFPA 72, NFPA 17 and additional applicable standards.
Site plans are reviewed for emergency access, fire lanes, fire hydrant locations, and fire hydrant and ISO flow calculations.
Our fire plan reviewers are working closely with building plan reviewers, building inspectors, fire inspectors, and other development staff to ensure quality of services provided.
